The ubiquitous vending machines. They are both every-where and vend every-thing. This one, incidentally, is also home to a napping cat.
I keep thinking these quirky and commonplace Japanese highlights are getting old, unsavorable. But then I remember that it will not be much longer until they disappear from our daily moments. So, I savor.
To remember the vending machines. Period.
Some favorite finds throughout the years…water (every time), melon soda, hot lemon tea, hot green tea, apple tea, corn chowder, canned coffee–Wanda is best, CC Lemon, random vitamin drinks, milk tea, Pocari Sweat, cider soda, umbrellas (yes, umbrellas).
A reminder that beverage convenience is a way of life here. If you don’t see a vending machine, walk to the next corner and you will.
